- Susan Ivanova is involved romantically with Malcolm Bridges. She broke up with him when she was reassigned to the transfer station on Io, an assignment she credits as a "great career move."[1] On Station Io she served under the command of John Sheridan.[2] During her time there, she once tossed a telepath out of a third story window and into a pool below.[3]
- Esparanza Beldon, mother of Alisa Beldon and wife of Eliot Beldon, dies on Earth from Stafford's Plague.[4]
