Chryn III was an unpopulated world lying well off established trade routes. Offering little in the way of precious minerals, the planet failed to attract the interest of colonists or miners. The planet's temperate zone was comparable to the island of Maui on Earth, with lush fruit trees, untainted water, and a warm, balmy climate with air close to human skin temperature.
Marcus Cole came across the planet while on a survey job with his brother William. After being revived from stasis and restored to life in 2593, Cole chose to maroon himself on Chryn III along with a genetic and neural clone of Susan Ivanova.[1]
