In 2261, he was assigned as the Captain of White Star 14.
After witnessing first hand the destruction of a colony by a Death Cloud in Sector 900, John Sheridan ordered Ericsson and his crew to participate in a suicide mission in order to lure the Shadows into a trap at Coriana VI.[1]
