Janey was a Med Tech who served aboard the Excalibur.
When the surviving alien was brought aboard he appeared to be slipping away. Seeing this, she burst into the Isolab trying to save him, most foolishly without precautions and breaking regulations, and opened the container that he was in exposing herself to him. He then reached out and touched her thus infecting her with the alien presence. She then went on to infect other members of the crew. Afterwards, she became a spokesman for the aliens alongside the also infected Mr. Welles, who had been designated their leader. She was released after Gideon resolved the situation.[1]
