Lee Parks was a human tri-vids writer accused by the Clark administration of disloyalty and spreading anti-Earth messages to outside forces through his work. He was arrested and tortured into confessing the charges and implicating fellow writer Carleton Jarrico and actors Beth Trumbo and Adrian Mostel. After his confession was broadcast on ISN, news anchor Alison Higgins stated that Parks had since been sent to a mental hospital for treatment.[1]

Background[]

Lee Parks may have been based on real-world actor Larry Parks, who was blacklisted from work in Hollywood in the 1950s. In his "confession," Lee Parks identifies an actor named Adrian Mostel as being a collaborator with alien governments. This may be a reference to real-world producer Adrian Scott and real-world actor Zero Mostel, who was also blacklisted around the same time.
