Nix was a Moradi representative from Morada VII.[1]
Nix arrived on the Excalibur with Apriori Flentak. Due to the Moradi belief that even verbal contact in another race's language is unclean, Nix spoke and translated entirely for Flentak. He readily admitted to Matthew Gideon that he lied and mistranslated "all the time" to make Flentak believe aliens were always flattering and admiring him. According to Nix, this strategy was both for politics and his own self-preservation.
Nix and Flentak had traveled to the Excalibur so that they could capture Natchok Var, who was a fugitive holding onto unspecified Moradi secrets. Var allowed Captain Gideon to copy his data crystals before being taken into custody by Nix and Flentak.
Both of them told Var to travel on his own shuttle separately from themselves, which they promptly destroyed before it reached their ship.
