Quadrant 37 was a disputed sector of space, claimed by both the Narn and Centauri.

Quadrant 37 was system on the edge of Narn-Centauri space, located in Sector 157. The Narn Regime had signed a treaty recognizing the neutrality of the sector, but late in the year 2258 began raids against Centauri ships in the area, claiming they no longer recognized the validity of the treaty and moving to take the entire system. The Regime maintained a heavily guarded outpost, where some 10,000 Narn warriors were stationed. The outpost located was completely destroyed by the Shadows on the last day of 2258, forcing the Narn Regime to abandon its claims.[1]
