Shadow Hybrid

A Shadow Hybrid was a prototype starship based on Shadow technology, built by a secret division of Earthforce.
In 2259 one such ship was witnessed to have destroyed the EAS Cerberus, leaving then Ensign Matthew Gideon as the only survivor. [1] In 2267 a modified version of that ship was detected by the Excalibur after it attacked and destroyed a civilian ship in Sector 840. The Excalibur eventually chased the damaged ship down and destroyed it in an asteroid field. [2] Later that year the Excalibur tracked a carrier wave used by the ship back to a home base in Sector 420. [3]
