[edit] Summary

[edit] Intro

On Minbar, a hooded figure walks, as a Minbari chases after them. He is told that on this day, a sealed box is to be opened, and only by him. It has been sealed for 900 years. It contains an envelope, addressed to "Jeffrey Michael Sinclair". The hooded figure opens his hood, and it is Jeff.

Ivanova gets a distress call from Sector 14. It is Ivanova, yelling "They're killing us!"

[edit] Act I

On Minbar, Jeff reads the note addressed to him. His Minbari friend asks what is in the letter. Jeff refuses to tell him, saying that it for him only. Jeff thanks him, and leaves. His friend tells a Vorlon nearby that he does not think he will ever see Sinclair again. The Vorlon replies, "He is the closed circle. He is returning to the beginning." "The beginning of what?". is the unanswered reply.

As Sheridan, Garibaldi, and Ivanova listen to the distress call, Garibaldi brings them up to speed on what happened on Babylon 4. He asks to investigate Sector 14. Sinclair agrees.

Zach is admitting visitors, and greets Sinclair. He asks Jeff if he will be staying long. "That is a much more interesting question than you might think." Meanwhile, Ivanova sees Garibaldi off.

Lennier tells Delenn that "he" is here. Delenn tells him that he is her friend, and we see a letter in the same handwriting as Jeff's, adressed to her.

Sheridan and Marcus discuss strategy in the war room, and Delenn then Sinclair enter. Garibaldi contacts them, and tells them that the time rift is twice as big as before. Also, an extremely powerful Tacheon field comes from Epsilon 3.

Om Epsilon 3, Zathras and... Zathras discuss the energy spike. Zathras tells Zathras that Draal is doing all that he can to control the Great Machine.

Meanwhile, Delenn tells Sheridan that they must leave now for Sector 14, because "now is the time that we need to go".

As Jeff, John, Ivanova, and Marcus leave Babylon 5 for Sector 14 in the White Star, Jeff tells John that he is just as surprised to be here as John is.

Garibaldi sees a video of the distress signal of Ivanova. She tells them that the captain's dead, the defense grid is down. Garibaldi has rigged the fusion reactor, and then he sees hundreds of Shadow ships on her screen. Then she screams, and the signal ends.

On the ship, Delenn asks John if he trusts her. She explains that the Shadow war was 1,000 years ago, but there is something that they do not know. She shows them a video from the Shadow War, and suddenly Babylon 4 pops into view. She tells them that Draal sent her another video from 6 years ago. It shows Shadow ships attempting to destroy Babylon 4, and the White Star destroying the ships.

[edit] Act II

Sheridan is shocked that he steals Babylon 4. Marcus asks how saving Babylon 4 saves Babylon 5. She explains that most of the Shadows were destroyed thanks to Babylon 4. Sinclair confirms this, which he says comes from a "reliable source". Sheridan calls Garibaldi, and Michael tells him that he keeps seeing the same video over and over again. Sheridan decides to do it, and sends Garibaldi back to Babylon 5.

Lennier contacts Delenn, telling them that a ship from Epsilon 3 has left the planet. She said that he Draal sent one of his aides. Zathras appears, and runs to Sinclair. He says that he is honored to meet him. Jeff tells him that they have met before, but Zathras has not met him yet. Jeff warns him not to tell Jeff from the past about this. Zathras also tell John that he is honored to meet him, but for a different reason. When Sheridan asks why, Zathras refuses to say.

As they head out of the corridor, Jeff asks Sheridan for a favor. John contacts Garibaldi, and tells him to return to base. He then tells Jeff that he did as Jeff had asked, but wouldn't Jeff like to talk to Michael? Jeff replies, "More than you'll ever know." He then remembers the flashback he had while on Babylon 4, saying, "No. It won't happen. I won't let it happen."

Draal gives each of them a time stablizer, telling them it is an anchor. Sheridan then orders the White Star into the rift.

[edit] Act III

The ship shakes as they enter the rift, and John and Delenn hold hands. Jeff notices this and smiles.

On Babylon 5, Michael is greeted by Zach and learns that Jeff was there, but he left on the White Star. Michael is upset about this.

The White Star finally stablizes in Sector 14 six years in the past, and they notice a fusion bomb being carried by the Shadows. They give chase.

Michael goes to his room, and is told that Jeff left a message, but it is encoded by a password.

The White Star destroy a Shadow ship, then is attacked. Lennier tells they sustained only minor damage, as the ship is based on Vorlon technology, and adapts.

Michael finally figures out the password, "Hello, old friend". Jeff's image displays, and he apologizes for not telling him, but Jeff is not coming back, and if Michael left, he wouldn't either.

The White Star blows up the fusion bomb, and is almost destroyed in the blast. A white streak of light attacks Sheridan, and he disappears, without his time stabilizer. They insist on rescuing him, but Jeff refuses, telling them that Babylon 4 is the only important thing.

Suddenly, Sheridan is in the future on Centauri Prime, and he is held by Londo's guards. Londo tells him, "Welcome back from the abyss. Your timing, as always, is quite exceptional. Just in time to die."

[edit] Act IV

Those in the White Star decide to burn into the station. Delenn is worried about John, but Jeff reassures her, and tells her that the path is completely clear. No doubts."

John is told by Londo that he is going to put John out of Londo's misery, charging him with "crime of neglect, crime of convenience. You drove away the Shadows, but didn't think to clean up your mess. If a few of their minions, their dark servants, came to Cenauri Prime, well... where is the harm in that, yes? You want to see the harm? Do you?!" John is shown the planet, the city is engulfed in flames.

The White Star begins to burn through Babylon 4. They plan how to get the equipment into place, and Ivanova has an idea. Jeff sends Zathras to carry equipment, and he and Delenn head off.

[edit] Act V

[edit] Memorable Quotes

"Draal gave Zathras list of things not to say. This was one. No. Not good. Not supposed to mention "One", or "The One". You never heard that."
